Art has always been a continuous hobby since childhood. Art in my opinion does not only mean to simply draw, but it means being able to create something from what we imagine. It is another method of communication. In a way, art is a special category. It is a wide category consisting of many different mediums and is not limited to drawing. The main thing you need to know about me is that art is a passion I hold close to home. Through difficult times I may have a love-hate relationship with art, but art is also a friend that is there when I need it. My creations are not consistent since they are what held hands with me through many phases of my life. To me, art is a friend, an enemy, a medium, and a purpose.

I was born in Quebec, Canada with a half Japanese and half European background. I loved watching shows and movies so much that I would watch them over and over again for several hours at a time.

At the age of around six, my mom and younger sister moved to Ontario. Throughout the years it has become more and more obvious that I had some sort of interest in visual arts. At around the age of fourteen, I began taking interest in 3D animation and software.

Throughout high school, I kept telling myself that animation was for me. I told everyone around me how I was going to become an animator. Eventually, it was time for me to graduate high school and with the help of my teachers, I was able to get into a program for Animation. On the first day's class was life drawing I felt like something wasn't right. I failed so many classes and didn't enjoy any of the assignments. I dropped the program and decided to take some time off. It has taken almost five years to finally realize that animation wasn't for me.

I eventually made the decision of going into Illustration by the end of 2020. Around this period is when I knew this was the path for me. It has been two years since and I am about to graduate from this program. I am still unsure as to what I want to do in the future, but I do know that I want to do art. I do know I am currently into character design, creating moving illustrations (otherwise known as animated illustrations), 3D modelling, and storytelling. Although I may not know much about the future and am still improving my skills, this is only the beginning of my art journey!
